Free Post

One of my favorite pastimes is probably going to Woodville, Mississippi with my dad. We never really get the chance to just because I am normally busy on the weekends with plans or schoolwork. My dad loves it up there just because he can do guy stuff he can't do in BR, like ride around on the Polaris, shoot things, and set up cameras to track deer and animals. Also, he really loves it when me or my sister, Emily, can go and help him around the camp. My mom normally skips out though, just because there isn't much for her to do there.
Its awesome there because it is totally different than BR. There's nothing you can do like that here, so its a great escape just 2 hours away. Sometimes, my dad will let me drive there since I have my permit. I never get the chance to practice driving on school days, so it is a good drive to do so. :) I think going to Woodville is fun for us because we get to leave home for just a day or a couple days and be outdoors.

  1. That sounds so fun. I love that you spend time with your dad doing something that he loves. I agree that practicing driving is very difficult during a school week. Great post.

Fall Break Free Post

Fall break is definitely one of my favorite breaks. It is a great break from school to relax and have fun. This past break, my mom and one of my friends mom surprised us with a trip to New York for our birthdays. We were both super excited and could not wait until we got there.        We had to get up at 3:30 Thursday morning to get to New Orleans to catch our flight. After the short plane ride, we did not waste any time, we jumped right in to doing things. We shopped the first day and went out to dinner for an early birthday dinner at the Sugar Factory. The next few days, we spent in Central Park, Little Italy, Brooklyn, and SoHo. Also, we went to see Hamilton. It was awesome! Overall, I had a very fun fall break and got a good break from studying and homework.

Snow Day Free Post

I was very excited for the MLK three-day weekend after being back for a week from Christmas break. I could not wait to sleep in and hang out with friends. For the three-day weekend, two of my friends from camp came in to visit. One of them is from Mississippi and the other is from Dallas, so we don't get the chance to see each other often. We spent the first day in Baton Rouge and hung out here; then the next two days we went to New Orleans. New Orleans was so much fun because neither of them had been before, so it was interesting to show them around and eat and shop.     Then, I was so happy when school got cancelled for two days because of the snow. It was awesome to have two extra days of break. Although I spent most of it doing ECLs, I made time to rest and hang out with friends. Overall, this break was super fun and well-needed.

Interrogation Dialogue

Tom, the judge, and the lawyer  all face each other tensely in the court room. "I have some questions to ask you Mr. Tom, where were you on September 1st at 9:30 am?" The lawyer asks sternly. "I was at a coffee shop studying." Answered Tom. "Who were you with?" Questioned the lawyer. "No one, but an old friend of mine from college was there. I talked to her for about 10 minutes." "What is her name?" "Jill White." Tom answered. "What exactly did y'all talk about?' The lawyer interrogated. "We were just catching up. We hadn't seen each other in 5 years. She was telling me about her new job and her kids. That was really all." "Okay, but how do I not know you were in the alley right next to the coffee shop during the time of the murder of our town mayor?" "Why would you suspect such a thing? This is crazy!" Asked Tom frantically. "Answer my question." Rep...
